Incredible work from around the world for our people, our planet and our future generations who can build on this to make the world a better place to live in for their future generations. http://www.nationalgeographic.com/impact-report-2014/
In Cebu, some houses have been rebuilt. But a close source told me that Tacloban is still in pieces and towns nearby, are still in need of help after the media focused their attention predominantly on Tacloban.
It’s that time of year.. “spring clean” out your closet, your mind, your life and set goals for the year ahead. The days are longer, so make use of that time and when you look back, have no regrets. Keep. Moving. Forward. Happy Easter everyone!! X X
My next big expedition has just been accredited with the “Highly Commended” Award by The Adventure Fund in association with Sidetracked magazine.
So far this year, I feel honoured to have been made a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, A Finalist for the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Fellowship Award, Shortlisted for the SES (Scientific Exploration Society) Explorer of the Year Award and finally, I have won the Spirit of Adventure Award 2014 by The Captain Scott Society for my next BIG expedition!
Grateful for notes of encouragement from great people and places.
Rafael Correa, President of the Republic of Ecuador, has written a letter to me regarding the Yasuni ITT. I guess my efforts reached him in the end! Now, to move forward…
