Ecuador, Amazon Rainforest

Ecuador, Amazon Rainforest

At nine years old, Sarah learnt about deforestation at school and how it affected the inhabitants of the jungle. She dreamed of going to the Amazon and helping tribes under threat. In February 2010, Sarah embarked on the most epic expedition of her life, travelling to the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest to live with one of the most ancient tribes known as the Huaoranis and make her first documentary about their way of life through her experience. As Director, Producer and Presenter, Sarah was challenged both mentally and physically, survival being as important to her as making the film. Sarah experienced hunting with the warriors, gathering with the women and was chosen by the elders to be initiated into the tribe in a way she never imagined possible and to bring back their messages to the west. This was the most defining experience of Sarah’s life and the beginning of her career.
