Surviving Caracas

Sarah explored the social, economic and political struggles in one of the world’s most dangerous cities, surviving the murder capital of the world – Caracas, Venezuela. Sarah hit the streets as a local on the hunt, experiencing their struggles with shortages of basic products such as toilet paper and shampoo whilst documenting some of their stories about life in the city. She risked her life stepping into the largest most dangerous slums of Latin America, Petare to find out about life there. With interviews from her taxi driver, political figures, economists and young people, Sarah highlights the current reality resulting from various circles of corruption in the country.
