Arajuno Road Project, Ecuador – 2010

Sarah taught English to children in the Amazon schools and organised an “Eco Fashion Show” by recycling old clothes at the volunteers house. During this time, Sarah investigated into the situation of students learning in the rural areas of the country and even took a step deeper into the culture when she took on the duty to sacrifice a chicken for school lunch. As an engaged volunteer, she connected with the locals, captured their stories and helped their situation with her ideas and her promise that their voices will be heard in a short documentary yet to be released. In her free time, Sarah explored the jungle, took part in cultural practises and got into some pretty adventurous situations – she had to bungee jump herself out of one of them…
