Nolstagia in Palatine Hill and The Forum, Rome

Something strange happened yesterday… I walked through the beautiful ancient ruins of the Palatine hill into the Forum with a nostalgic feeling hanging over my head. Everything seemed familiar to me. Never has a city captured me this much. Intoxicated by it, the most beautiful city in the world… It was only when I neared a certain ruin, a forum dedicated to an iconic figure in Roman history that I started to feel a warm energy enter me. My heart felt deep love and loss and tears automatically fell from my eyes but my head was thinking, “What on earth is going on? Why am I feeling like this?” I walked closer to read his name etched on the side, “Julius Ceasar”, where his remains rest. Still, I had no idea or explanation for that feeling. #Rome#AncientHistory
